Kizlyar Supreme Survivalist-X Knife & Survivalist-Z Knife: One Knife, Many Tasks!

Written by: DDL

The Kizlyar Supreme Survivalist X knife... One knife for many tasks. When the KS Survivalist X knife caught my attention, I knew right away I had to try this knife out. Being a writer for a few companies and a ghost writer for another one, it definitely makes you aware of the gear that's on the market, and aware of when something interesting comes along.

Now, we know that a hollow handle survival knife is not a new concept, but the way this one is made is a new thing. KS has done a great job making this knife, they used some of the better materials on the market. D2 for the steel, and Dural for the hollow handle. The mating of the handle and the blade has been tested over and over and the Survivalist has passed each and every time. The handle also comes with a survival kit that can be customized or taken out completely if you prefer to put something else in there.

This knife has some interesting features, as previously mentioned. The blade is long enough to handle alot of jobs and take care of lots of situations that may come up during a survival scenario. The rear of the blade can be 'batoned' if you need to cut through something thicker than the average branch. Whether it be an animal, or a tree, or anything else you need to use it on, you can be sure the Survivalist will help you get the job done.

The sheath is the usual high quality ballistic nylon and cordura that KS usually uses, along with a polymer insert to protect the blade and protect the sheath from the blade cutting through it. The sheath is MOLLE compatible and has MOLLE straps front and back so it can be mounted in a variety of ways and can have other MOLLE gear mounted to it.

To sum it up, the Survivalist fixed blade that KS has put on the market is a fine example of a purpose built knife.  You can find this knife and other KS Knives by looking them up on the KS website: BladeHQ ...or by a whole host of other companies that carry the Kizlyar Supreme brand. I recommend Blade HQ for great prices, a wide selection, and fast shipping. Thanks for everything Konstantin, keep up the great work. And stay tuned for some upcoming edged tools from KS that will blow... your... Mind!!!
